When asked by a British reporter ahead of his meeting with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer at the White House whether AUKUS would be discussed, Trump responded, "What does that mean?" 

His remark raised eyebrows, but officials downplayed any concerns about the future of the trilateral security pact.

AUKUS: A Critical Defence Partnership

The AUKUS agreement, established between Australia, the US, and the UK, will see Australia acquire nuclear-powered submarines in a deal worth up to $368 billion.

It seems as though Trump's supposed slip-up may have just been a slight jab at the previous US administration that was a crucial pillar in brokering the military deal.
