Breast Cancer Awareness: Why Your Support Matters This October

Breast cancer is the second most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia and remains the most common cancer among females.

Alarming statistics show that every day, 58 Australians will receive a breast cancer diagnosis.

This equates to over 21,000 people each year—an overwhelming number of lives affected by this disease.

Even more concerning is that 1 in 7 women and 1 in 550 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer at some point in their lives.

Among the thousands of people impacted each year, around 1,000 are young women under the age of 40.

That’s equivalent to about three young women receiving this life-altering diagnosis every day.

Despite advances in research and treatment, the battle against breast cancer is far from over.

Over 3,300 Australians, including 33 men, die from breast cancer every year—that’s nine lives lost each day. Heartbreakingly, approximately one woman under 40 dies from breast cancer every week.

Breast cancer diagnoses have surged by 24% over the past decade, underscoring the urgent need for continued research and better treatments.

These figures highlight why it’s more important than ever to rally together to fight this disease.

Why We're Hosting a Pink Ribbon Breakfast This October

This October, we’re hosting a Pink Ribbon Breakfast to raise essential funds for breast cancer research and to inspire a healthier, wealthier future for all.

By supporting this event—whether by attending or donating online—you’re not just helping to fund life-saving research; you’re contributing to a vision where there are Zero Deaths from breast cancer, a goal set by the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF).

But our mission goes beyond just fighting breast cancer. By fostering a culture of health and wellness, we believe we can protect not only our health but also grow our wealth for generations to come.

Investing in health today means fewer lives lost tomorrow, and fewer families financially burdened by medical treatments.
